About Us

Who We Are

Transformation Church was planted in Sun Prairie in 1999 as a mission of East Madison Baptist Church. Pastor Ken Steele and his wife, Stephanie, returned to their hometown after seminary to help establish what was originally known as Prairie Springs Church. The church held its first service on Easter Sunday 1999 at Prairie View Middle School.

As the congregation grew, land was purchased in 2002 for a permanent home. Church members volunteered countless hours to help construct and furnish the building, making it a testimony to prayer, dedication, generosity, and hard work.

Through the years, the church has served its community and beyond through children’s ministries, mission trips, disaster relief, local outreach, and the Truckers Christian Chapel. The name was later changed to Transformation Church to better reflect our mission: transforming lives through sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Through seasons of growth, transition, and change, God has remained faithful. Today, we continue building upon that foundation as a Bible-centered, gospel-driven church, committed to helping people Love God, Live Transformed, and Go Share the good news of Jesus. We gather for worship, prayer, and practical teaching from God’s Word while building genuine relationships through Bible studies, prayer groups, and opportunities to serve. Through our kids and student ministries, we partner with families to help the next generation know Jesus and grow in faith. No matter your age, background, or place in your faith journey, you are welcome to find community, discover your purpose, and follow Jesus with us.
